Shigisha Skirt

The design honours and respects the heritage of vaTsonga women of the Limpopo province. They derive from the Northern part of South Africa. The Xhigixha skirt draws inspiration from the indigenous Xibelani dance. Xibelani refers to the traditional dance usually embraced by vaTsonga women meaning ‘’hitting to the rhythm’’. This elegant, modernized version represents a Goddess who remains truly rooted in her identity.
